The Biggest Fat-Loss Secret No One Will Tell You About

Written by

Fat loss is very different from weight loss in that anyone can go on a diet and fast to lose weight. In fact, you can lose 10 pounds in 10 days by doing just that. However, there are problems with that.
Think about it; you may know someone who has been on a diet and lost weight. You may also know someone who has been on a diet, lost weight, quit the diet and afterward looked and felt fatter than when they started dieting in the first place. Have you ever wondered the reason for this phenomenon? This ‘yo-yo’ response can actually be due to the dieting itself.

When you go on a diet for the purpose of losing weight, the body does not know you are trying to lose weight. Metabolically, the body thinks you are starving. The human body will do everything in its power to prevent that from happening and preserve your life.

This is where dieting and weight loss get complicated. If the body doesn’t receive enough energy, it will store and refuse to release as much fat as possible to keep you from starving to death. So, your body becomes conditioned to store fat, while you are trying to lose it. This ‘yo-yo’ effect dieters despise is actually a natural life-saving mechanism designed for life preservation.

On any diet with the sole purpose of losing weight, during the first two to three weeks, 90-95% of the weight lost is water and protein (muscles, nails, hair). Why is that so bad? This is counterproductive for you because every cell in your body is made up of water and protein. Yes, with weight loss the body may appear to be thinner, you may wear smaller clothes, and look smaller in the mirror… but you just may lose your hair, eyesight, or liver function. In order for the human body to function optimally, both water and protein are vital. Thus, the subconscious mind kicks in again to keep you alive and sabotages your efforts to lose weight.

So, if you want better health and to look and feel better, get rid of something that is causing an enormous amount of stress on the human body… get rid of fat. Instead of dieting and trying to lose weight, focus on getting rid of the fat that’s weighing you down.

There are those whose excess weight is due to physiological causes. Other times it may be psychological; suppressed, buried in some incident or event of the past for which overeating provides a sense of compensation, or relief from pressures or anxieties, something lacking in life, grief, anger or other emotions, sometimes dating back to childhood.

Mind therapy is often effective in ferreting out causes, and sometimes even the simple understanding of causes can result in healing. So, what’s the biggest fat burning secret that no one will tell you about - your mind.

What is Good? by Cristi Adkins

What is Good?

There is a valuable question that we find in the Regis University Tradition statement, "How ought we to live?" (Regis University, n.d.). This is a primary and ongoing question in the philosophy of ethics; and for some, a deep consideration for daily living. Just as the universe does not discern, nor should people. The answer to what is good cannot be defined by a label of morality as presented by humankind.  If we avoid trying to define good and allow life to flow in its natural order the result will be a harmonious, universal existence. By examining the various philosophical theories on ethics, it is easy to conclude, there is neither good nor bad, only consequences.

Ethics are Relative

Ethics are the moral duties, norms, and values that decide how people ought to behave or take care of one another and their surrounding environments.  Within each community, norms and ethics are determined by several means and are dynamic in the human experience. In that respect, as each person lives in various locations with a variety of people, ethics are relative: individuals and communities choose their values (Adkins, 2012).

Ethnocentrism

Various ethical beliefs and norms throughout the world, communities, tribes, and individuals creates separation, disharmony, and, among other things, war. As people believe one system of ethics as right then judge another as wrong, such as during The Crusades, there is no synchronization of society. At times, unity for a common theme, such as ‘Occupy Wall Street’, can become a cohesive faction. This was a successful tactic which led to a nationwide association known as ‘The Occupy Movement.’ However, there are an equal or greater number of people who pushed back against this campaign. In this example, there was, and is still, no civil synchronization. We need to look no further than the media and the Internet to see the discord.  There are notable amounts of virtual blog wars, in the media are regular highlights of the societal discourse from the debating groups.

The Butterfly Effect

Like Ray Bradbury’s Butterfly Effect, even one minute change can make a massive impact for others; and, in other times or places. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. Consequentialists hold that a moral choice requires one to consider the consequences of an action with intent of the positive associations they bring about (Stanford, 2007).

The philosopher, Immanuel Kant, argues against using the reasoning of actions and consequences as it brings with it too many unknowns. Not all consequences can be known, therefore, some actions can bring about unintended consequences. Neither of these theories is without weaknesses nor can they provide a definition of good or bad. One does not contribute to the greater good without the other.

For Kant, the intent of the action has the higher moral ground than the action itself. As noted by Stewart, Blocker and Petrick (2013), Kant notes that there is only one defining characteristic of moral good, and that is the intention of good will, regardless of outcome. The obvious weakness in this argument is that if the intent is a positive action, and a negative outcome occurs, this in fact does impact others.

We Plan for the Outcome

At birth everyone is granted free will to decide on how they ought to live. We, as individuals, communities, kings, or leaders, come to a decision of what we want and what is good. Following the norms and values of our societies allows for an organized civilization and the avoidance of mayhem or, better stated, anarchy. However, as individuals and communities determine their morals and values, it is not possible for everyone to agree on the definition of good or bad, as evidenced by world history.

People have the free the will to choose to follow societal norms or create their own in pursuit of happiness and morality. It can be regarded as the greater good for the greatest number of people, it can be defined by the laws of good and bad as established by sacred texts, or it can be determined by the underlying intent for good will and a sense of duty.

Regardless of whether or not an outcome of an action helps us or helps others, individuals control the action. Yet, to some, neither the personal motive of an action nor the consequences determine morality, or happiness. Other views of morality, the teleological approach, are the concepts that human happiness is the ultimate good. If the happiness and pleasure is for one individual, it is noted as egoistic hedonism. If the happiness is for the greater good, then it is considered Utilitarianism.

Utilitarianism is intended to establish pleasure for the greatest number of people and encourage a synchronization of community for the greater good (Stewart, Blocker, & Petrick, 2013). There are challenges with this idealistic view. First of which is this: how is the greatest number of people decided? Is it a tribe of 10 versus a tribe of 50, or a continent the size of Australia as opposed to Africa?

Living Without Judging: True Harmony

In order for us to believe that some things are right we must first determine, or make a comparison, that some things are wrong. This guideline is based on a duality, pleasure versus displeasure and vice versa. This duality of good and bad is based on a belief system that promotes judgment and dichotomy. As noted by Dr. Dyer (2007, p. 10), “Opposites are simply judgments created by the human mind.” The dichotomy through labels and judging creates disharmony, envy, and transgression. Hence, if we avoid trying to define good and allow life to flow in the unity oneness, the result will promote a harmonious, universal existence, which is, in essence, the connotation of good.  This duality of good and bad which promotes judgment creates more conflict than solutions. By attempting to define morality, more questions arise and opposing sides commence.

Conclusion

After examining all of the various theories, the most sensible conclusion is that good, along with bad, does not exist. There are merely actions and consequences and the way people perceive them. What can be accepted as ‘good’ is merely the perception of positive outcomes of each individual action. As people try to label good and bad, things become black and white in a world filled with grey. With so many different cultures, religions, societal norms and individuals in the world, it is impossible to say one is better than the other; or if any are accurate at all. By accepting the natural order of the universe, removing labels of good or bad, and removing judgments, we allow the world to flow naturally. Thus, tolerance and harmony is the key to happiness.

What is Intuition by Cristi Adkins

Intuition is insight, knowing on a level that is beyond the cognitive sense. It's a subconscious 'tell' or stored past experiences that sends you a gut feeling to observe, be careful, and proceed with caution.

Yet, how often do we ignore that gut feeling and pass it off in an instant?
This accumulated knowledge has value and is worthy of attention.

Practice developing your intuition by:
Careful consideration before acting; do a gut check
Reflect in action: check to see if your gut queasy or calm
Reflect after action: was your gut right after all?

You never know what may come when you answer that doorbell but thought better of it, turning down the common road when your somatic response says otherwise, or avoiding the path of least resistance brings great rewards.

The Great Dvidie Between Liberals and Conservatives

Poisonous Politics and a Country Divided, Welcome to America 2009

By Cristi Adkins Saturday, October 24, 2009
Arguably, the great divide between liberals and conservatives in America has never felt wider than now. This pronounced polarization has grown in the past few years at alarming rates and can no longer be considered election undertones. This energized division was actually examined by Bill Bishop, a reporter from Austin, and statistician, Bob Cushing. Their three year investigation revealed a chilling trend:

“There’s a steady trend line from ‘76 to 2004 of the country being pulled apart-becoming more politically segregated. We began to see this pattern that we eventually end up calling the Big Sort… It’s at that community level that people are becoming more segregated,” said Bishop.

The distinguishing idiosyncrasies in ‘party’ segregation has aroused not just a political feeding frenzy, but a moral, ethical and financial rupture among all American citizens. According to ABC News, today, half of all Americans are living in polarized communities. Essentially, like minded people have migrated closer to like minded people breeding intolerance.

This dissension is being energized at an alarming rate by the internet, main stream media and talk radio-by the left and the right. Evidence of such dissension litters the networks as well as networking sites like Facebook and Myspace. These virtual communities of like-minded partisans’ breeds political poison which even further stimulates disunion. South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham told ABC News:

“The best evidence I think of how polarized America has become is that it makes news when Democrats and Republicans do something of substance together and that truly is a shame. We’ve gone from the Senate being presumed to be above party politics to where the news is we rejected party politics.”

While leading Democrats hoped that once elected, Obama would ‘unify’ the country, we see little along those lines. In fact, arguably, the country has never been in such turmoil. It isn’t simply a question of political affiliation, gender, race or religion: it goes much deeper than that. Some experts even suggest civil war, such as Professor Igor Panarin (Diplomatic Academy of Foreign Affairs Ministry.) Panarin theorizes this inevitable civil war with economic collapse leading to the country divided into 6 geographical parts.

Rather than solutions, we continue to see the blame game and ‘Politics’ as usual. There really is no ‘one’ party, one administration nor one network to blame for this dissension; although the Obama Administration has waged ‘war’ on Fox News, even going to far as to attempt boycotting Fox News from major press events. Even the New York Times, Columnist Thomas Friedman, warily suggests “criticism from the far right has begun tipping over into delegitimation and creating the same kind of climate here that existed in Israel on the eve of the Rabin assassination.”

Many wait for 2010 elections to even the playing field while others simply bury their heads in the sand and declare all government crooked and evil. As the bickering continues on BOTH sides of the political aisle, conceivably at an individual level we can begin to restore a nation in turmoil. Perhaps we can begin to appreciate our differences and utilize that diversity to determine what is best for all as a nation.

Instead of seeing one another as ‘blue or red’ or leaving our fate up to politicians with agendas, we must remember that our country is/was and hopefully will prevail as a place for optimism and achievement if that is what one desires. As we are now forced to swallow ‘hope and change’ perhaps we can remember that our country really is a place where you can be whatever you want to be if you work hard enough, aggressive about guaranteeing individual personal freedoms, innovative yet caring, focused while fierce under fire, willing to change but without compromising the spirit of our Constitution.

Let’s keep it real. It’s time to take our country back!

What Was Eliminated from Hannity Program Sunday Night?

Well, if you were expecting insight, information, 'the skinny' on Obama, think again.
Those of us who were anticipating getting to know Obama better, which was to be aired on Fox News' Hannity this past Sunday, were surprised to see that the special was pulled. So, Anne and I are taking the liberty of posting the segments below for your viewing pleasure. However, you might want to watch now before these too are removed.

What's even more interesting is not only program 'monitoring' in effect, but when googled, we found the segments had been taken off of the internet as well. HMMMMM...makes you wonder who was responsible for this.

Conspiracy theorists would think this the NEW government control/big brother Obama effect in action.

Granted, these videos are not 'new' but because they were pulled from FOX, Anne and I feel like sharing the story.

Closing Arguments

Voting time nears, and this is OUR "closing argument" on why we will vote McCain, and you should as well. We've compiled our Top Five reasons NOT to vote for Obama, to go with our article on Why Vote McCain on this page.

c4m's Top Five reasons to vote NO to Obama on Nov. 4th:

5.) Judgement/Character:

His radical associations, starting more than 25 years ago and cultivated since then are cause for alarm. How much of the teachings of Frank Davis, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and other haters of our great country make up part of Obama's leanings?

4.) The mainstream cheerleader press:

The Fourth Estate is supposed to be looking out for Americans and serving the readers, NOT serving or being beholden to ANY political candidate or office holder. The press and mainstream TV news departments are openly rooting for Obama. They're willing partisans, not journalists anymore. They join leftist Hollywood and pop culture in mindless Obamamania.

3.) NO experience for the job:

Obama himself admits and has said he's "never been in charge of anything" and that's spooky. We're not comfortable giving the keys to a rookie at this critical time for our nation. Joe Biden -- the fumbling, bumbling inept clod said it best himself: The Presidency doesn't need "on the job training."

2.) Joe Biden: This clumsy, inept gaffe machine needs to retire. He's a Poster Boy for term limits in Congress if ever there was one. His record in Washington is littered with pork barrel spending, mindless entitlements, and downright ridiculous earmarks. He's part of the PROBLEM in Washington, not part of the solution.

1.) Absolute power corrupts absolutely:

Need more be said? If Obama is elected, he will have a Democrat controlled House and a filibuster-proof Senate as his lapdogs. He will be able to do whatever he wishes with NO checks and balances to hinder him in any way. He WILL raise taxes, WILL redistribute income, WILL balloon the deficit and WILL appoint activist, leftist judges to our Supreme Court and the Federal bench. Who's going to stop him? No one will be able to.

Conclusion:

Do you really want the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jack Murtha, Barney Frank and the rest of the Democrat-dominated WORST Congress in the history of this country to have a blank check with YOUR earnings? Or would you rather have someone standing up to these robbers and thieves?

Do you really want people like Ayers, Odinga, Wright, Farrakhan, Hamas, (which has endorsed Obama and called Biden a "great man") to have the ear of the President of the United States? With such a President possibly beholden to those who helped him build his base of power?

Put aside your Party Preference and vote Country First. It takes courage to do so.

This race isn't about the color of Obama's skin, it's about the thinness of it. Do you really want a President who is so paranoid and thin skinned, so Nixonian, that he attacks the Joe the Plumbers of the country? One whose campaign, supporters and followers hurl vicious hatred at anyone not falling in line and supporting this flim-flam man? Who say the only reasons you might not be voting for Obama is that you're stupid, ignorant, uneducated or racist?

We say no. Nobama!

Cristi Adkins Says: America is in Your Hands

Cristi Adkins:America is in Your Hands

This video inspires a plethora of refreshing emotions much needed after a hard fought and abusive democratic primary season.

Watching Gov. Sarah Palin's experience in that video, women across America find themselves are holding their heads a little higher. We even find ourselves wanting to know more about this extraordinary woman, Governor and role model.

Surprisingly, the more we learn about her, the more we find to like about her genuine nature and down home lady-next-door appeal.

Not only does she exemplify the true meaning of change, but women all over this country are feeling incredibly proud to be a part of this new era, proud to be moms, and proud to be true Americans.

Gov. Sarah Palin's story is not only exceptional, but one of true heroism. In this dawn of women's empowerment, this election cycle will surely be remembered as one that had to overcome an extreme Olympic hurdle: abundant misogyny .

When comparing the two parties candidates, regardless of one's affiliations, it is difficult not to notice the incredible contrast in the two tickets.

On the left, you have a virtual 'new to the scene' presidential nominee with an abundance of questionable affiliations and ties who claims he wants to implement change. Even if we were to believe this candidates ability to carry out 'change', whose change would it be? A friend of mine, Axis of Stevil, just this morning reminded me that "Hitlar wanted change too. And, Germany got just that...change"

On the right, you can clearly see two very honorable and patriotic candidates whose loyaltyt to country is apparent in their past performances. Which reminds me, didn't Senator Clinton actually ask her supporters to do the 'right' thing, IE: vote for the right sided ticket?

As for as I can tell, when you compare past relations, senate records, experience, American endearment, trust and character, there is but one choice that is best for America: Senator McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin.

You can take great comfort with these two that you are not voting for a republican ticket, but a Maverick Team.

However, I would be delusional if I didn't admit that in this day and age of propaganda by the media and hollywood, some will vote for a democrat because they have swallowed the bait, "We must have a democratic president to turn America around."

To add insult to injury, with the Chicago, thug like politics-worse-than-usual, it is possible that B. Hussein Obama will be our next president.

Yes, you read that correctly. Why do I suggest this? One word: ACORN.

I had no idea that acronym had such an ominous meaning other than a simple nut:Meet Obama's ACORN

QUOTE:
Inside Obama's Acorn
By their fruits ye shall know them.

By Stanley Kurtz

What if Barack Obama's most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (Acorn), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, you'd know what I was talking about. Acorn is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because Acorn works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. Acorn likes it that way. And so, I'd wager, does Barack Obama.

Why America is In Your Hands:
Ask yourself if it is enough to vote for McCain/Palin.
Ask yourself if it is enough to blog for these two Mavericks.
Ask yourself if it is enough to canvass neighborhoods or even distribute fliers.

When we are facing this typical Chicago style political machine (worse than politics as usual) who will stop at nothing to win...cheat, lie, bully and commit fraud... what can we, average every day citizens do to stop it?

America's future is in your hands...what will you do to stop these Chicago thugs from taking down our country?

If you are interested in taking action now and making a better America, go to www.nobamamission.com and volunteer.

Clintons4McCain Launches Radio Show...Cristi Adkins

For Immediate Release
July 6, 2008

Clintons4McCain Launches New Weekly Radio Show
--Empowering Voters Nationwide, New Show to Cover Politics & Issues Ignored by Main Stream Media--

Washington, DC – Working to empower voters nationwide, the maverick group of Hillary Clinton supporters, Clintons4McCain, has launched a new weekly radio show. The interactive 60-minute show, originating from cities across the United States, will focus on politics and current affairs ignored by the Main Stream Media. The show will air every Saturday from 5pm to 6pm EST on the BlogTALKRadio network. Anyone with a computer can listen from anywhere in the world at www.blogtalkradio.com/clintons4mccain and listeners can take part in the conversation by calling (347) 633-9273.

The Clintons4McCain radio show will include interviews with nationally-known newsmakers and Washington insiders, plus allow disaffected voters to voice their frustrations over the 2008 Democratic primary season. “Our goal is to educate voters, help shape America’s future and to do the job the American media should have been doing all along,” said the group’s founder, Cristi Adkins.

Adkins, featured on the Fox News Channel, CNN, the Washington Post and dozens of other media outlets, will join other concerned voters - Anne Franklin, Robin Carlson and Peter Boykin - as rotating hosts for the show. “People don’t think their voice matters,” said Carlson. “This show will allow voters to express their viewpoints and take a stand against this year’s unjust and fraudulent election process.”

Opponents have accused Clintons4McCain members of being republican operatives, a charge the group finds amusing. “We’re real voters - Democrats, Independents and moderate Republicans” said Anne Franklin. “Clinton is our first preference. If, somehow Hillary pulls off the nomination before August, we’ll no longer be Clintons4McCain, we’ll be Clintons4Hillary!”

Peter Boykin says, “It's no secret that many Hillary supporters are extremely disgruntled over Barack Obama being "anointed” the Democratic presidential nominee by special interest groups, not elected by American voters. That’s why we’re seeing an ever-growing coalition of groups banding together, fighting to take America back!”

For more information about Clintons4McCain, visit their website at www.clintons4mccain.com. If you’d like to suggest interview topics or schedule guest speakers, email Catherine Couch at nomeansnobama@hotmail.com or contact Cristi Adkins at cristi@clintons4mccain.com. Clintons4McCain Founders
Cristi Adkins, RN Cht
Registered nurse and frequent FOX NEWS CHANNEL television and radio contributor, Cristi Adkins is a spokesperson and co-founder for Clintons4McCain.com. Cristi has joined former Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman and others to throw their support behind the Arizona Senator, John McCain and assist his campaign for the Presidency. Adkins participated in Hillary Clinton's hugely successful West Virginia campaign, volunteering among the staff of the Senator's appearances in West Virginia: Charleston, Logan and a special Mother's Day event in Grafton with both Hillary and Chelsea Clinton.

Cristi has appeared with FOX NEWS CHANNEL'S Hannity and Colmes, Neil Cavuto and John Gibson, as well as on both Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes national radio programs, XM Radio's POTUS election news channel and dozens of other media outlets. Although relatively new to Washington insider politics, Adkins was invited to participate in a special invitation only private meeting with Senator McCain at his Arlington VA campaign headquarters to discuss policy issues and answer important questions concerning healthcare, Supreme Court Justice appointments and placing more women in congress to represent the unrepresented.

Peter Boykin, Entrepreneur, Political Activist
When it comes to business, Peter lives it everyday. Peter believes life is just one big challenge and he plans to succeed. "It takes networking with the best and a commitment to go anywhere my heart desires. My vocabulary rarely uses "if" instead I substitute one word "when" and when I set my mind on a goal I never give up until I achieve it and that is my strongest quality. I believe my consistent persistence pays off. "

Over the last year, Peter has been using these towards electing the "Person" he believes would be the best for the position of President of the United States of America. Since it appears Hillary Clinton has been forced out of the race, Boykin has thrown his support in the direction of John McCain. "I have to support my second choice and that is why I am one of the founders of Clintons4McCain.com."

Peter works in the Information Technology field and is a Webmaster/Developer of many sites like http://www.misshillaryclinton.com/ and http://www.clintons4mccain.com/. He assisted in the original domain name for justsaynodeal.com. Peter is a registered Democrat and voted for Bill Clinton, Al Gore and John Kerry in past elections. He states that he elects leaders by the person's character and judgment, not by their party affiliation. If anyone would like to talk to Peter directly, feel free to email: misshillaryclinton@gmail.com.

Anne Franklin, Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Retiree
Anne is a retired executive with a background in sales, marketing, strategy, operations and human resources. Like Hillary, Anne graduated from an all-female college. The nun (now Saint) who founded the college said, "If you educate a man you educate a person, if you educate a woman you educate a family." That phrase stuck with Anne and according to Anne, has proven to be true from what she has seen in life. "Hillary has a similar philosophy of taking care of the educational and healthcare needs of women/mothers to enable them to raise children who are less likely to drop out, abuse drugs and alcohol, commit violent crimes and end up on welfare, which is one of the things about her that appeals to me."

Anne is an Independent and believes that Independent voters are the most well-informed. "We don't let Party leaders or others decide for us for whom we will vote,” said Franklin. “We have to research all candidates from both parties. This year, Hillary was my first choice, followed by a Republican, followed by McCain, followed by another Democrat.”

Franklin says she is a moderate, as she believes are most Americans. Hillary and McCain are also both moderates. “I research all candidates' policies, their character and what each has done in the past (which is the best predictor of future behavior). I don't agree with any of the candidates 100% on their policies. So, I look at the ones that are most important to me, where they stand and whether or not they are likely to get things done."
